Child Policy:
Eratap Beach Resort specifically caters for children during the designated family weeks below. Outside these dates children under 15 are not permitted at the resort.
During these designated family weeks organised children activities are offered.

Dining
Set on Eratap beach with views out to Castaway Island sits the resort's restaurant. With lounge areas, bar, open verandah and terrace it is a great place to see the day unfold or the sunset of an evening. Enjoy a pre dinner drink, dine under the stars on the terrace or kick off our shoes and have a meal on the beach. Their Chef will create a daily selection of local and international cuisine prepared using the freshest locally grown produce. Sample Vanuatu’s famous organic beef, fresh lobster or the superb flesh of the deep sea “poulet” fish. Enjoy organic fruit and vegetables grown in the red volcanic soil of Vanuatu. Select from a wide range of fine Australian, New Zealand and French wines or sample the island cocktails.

For a more intimate occasion have dinner by candlelight on your villa deck, or take in the sunset on one of the lounge areas surrounding the property.

Massage and Spa Treatments
The Spa experience at Eratap Beach Resort is guaranteed to complete your dream vacation. Traditional Massages and a range of spa treatments are provided in the Beautiful Spa Villa which is set on the edge of tranquil Etlau Lagoon.

From a simple foot massage to the total indulgence full body treatment, their Day Spa Service offers a range of scrubs, treatments, baths, facials and massages to pamper the guests.

Resort Facilities
Lounge and Bar area - On arrival at Eratap beach resort you will be welcomed by the beautifully appointed spacious lounge and bar area. Here guests can enjoy a drink and meet with other guests, have a chat with our local staff, browse the library or simply relax and take in the stunning ocean views.
Pool - Tucked away behind the middle beach in a beautiful natural setting, is the resorts pool and pool bar. Lie by the pool surrounded by coconut palms and natapoa trees and listen to the masked king fisher as he swoops between the trees. Have a cool drink or wander over to the beach and stare across the bays, islands and the distant Macdonald ranges.
Jetty - Stretching out into Etlau lagoon just past the lagoon beach is the resorts jetty. Experience a sense of complete seclusion as you gaze across the beautiful turquoise lagoon out to the surrounding forests. Swim off the jetty at all tides, look at the giant star fish, take a boat ride or just relax under the shade of the thatched jetty pavilion.
Nakamals - Nakamal is bislama for meeting house. It is a place to sit, talk, drink kava or just pass the time of day. The resort's main Nakamal is located by the pool and provides a central meeting place for all resort guests. Here you can enjoy a cool drink, a chat or watch your favourite show on satellite TV. There are a number of other smaller Nakamals located in beautiful positions around the resort.
Boats & kayaks - A trip on the water off Eratap is not to be missed. The offshore islands, reefs and lagoon waterways surrounding the resort provide a very special natural reserve. We have two motor boats and many kayaks, complimentary to our guests. Go for a snorkel, get dropped off on a deserted island or simply paddle around the lagoon waterways under your own steam.

Climate
Eratap lies 17 degrees south of the equator so it is well and truly in the tropics. Like most other South Pacific destinations on similar latitudes it mostly experiences a cooler dry season and a warmer, tropical wet season.

However neither season is completely predictable and each season has its own advantages depending on what you want from your holiday. The more predictable weather elements are wind and temperature. Between May and October it is cooler with less humidity and more wind. Between November and April it is warmer and more humid with less wind.

Things to do at the Resort
Eratap offers one of the best environments in Vanuatu to wear yourself out with activities or to just stop and completely unwind. The resort is surrounded by coastal forests, reefs, waves, lagoons, islands, mangroves and beaches providing the perfect natural environment in which to play. No other resort in Vanuatu can provide immediate access to such a variety of marine activities. But you don't have to be an active person to appreciate the wonders of Eratap. With no other development for miles around, restricted guest numbers and luxurious facilities the resort is also ideal for those wanting to totally escape and do nothing at all.
